Social Responsibility
Local Community Outreach
Our employees participate in an annual holiday food drive. The donations are taken to a local food shelf.
Countless schools, churches and non-profits count on us to provide boxes, sheets of corrugated and pallets for food care packages, clothing drives, school supply drives, coat drives, play stage props and additional community projects.
We’ve sponsored teams and placed ads in school and community sporting programs. Our donations include donating boxes to ship books to impoverished areas of the world.
Since the late 1980’s we have provided use of our semi-trailers to two synagogues for food drives, then transported the supplies to local food shelves.
We have also provided use of our semi-trailers and tractors for use collecting and delivering clothing.
Additional donations of goods, services and money are given to programs that our employees are passionate about and donate their time to.
Emergency Assistance
We supplied wood pallets to transport supplies to flooded areas in northwest Minnesota and northeast North Dakota.
In 2017 Joel Tilsner matched the employee donations to the Red Cross for US hurricane relief.
Hiring Practices
We strive to maintain an inclusive culture and have broad diversity within our employees. We actively purse employees of all ages. We work with our local high schools to solicit new graduates, University of Wisconsin Stout for new structural designers and we have taken the AARP Employer Pledge. We actively recruit veterans. Some of our employees have come from our local homeless shelter. We test for substances, but are open to hiring individuals with a record. We currently have four languages spoken in our building.
